Today is a great day to adopt your new best friend!

Please be sure to read through our frequently asked quetions as well as our standard adoption procedures. If you have any questions you cannot locate on our website, please email us allieandpalsrescue@gmail.com

  • Age appropriate core vaccines at the time of adoption
  • Spay/Neuter at our vet on a pre-assigned date by 6 months of age
  • Heartworm test if over 6 months of age
  • All dogs in our care are given a broad spectrum dewormer, as well as monthly flea/tick, and heartworm prevention.

This is a frequently asked question from our applicants. Our standard adoption radius is 1.5 hours from the Buffalo Niagara Airport. Exceptions can be granted on a case by case basis for fully vetted dogs only. If you would like to be considered for an exception to the standard radius please fill out an adoption application on our website. We do make allowances depending on the situation, adopter and our dogs specific needs. If you have further questions, please reach out to us via email after submitting an adoption application.

WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT TO CANADA AT THIS TIME.

A home visit is required as part of the adoption approval process. For the convenience of our adopters and volunteers, we also offer the opportunity to do a virtual home visit that includes sending photos of the living spaces the dog will have access to as well as the yard showing all sides of the fencing.

First Steps

Veterinary Reference: A volunteer will contact your Veterinarian and inquire about your current pets medical records over the last 5 years. Dogs MUST be spayed/neutered and up to date with a current rabies and distemper/parvo vaccine. Please make sure you call the veterinary office prior to filling out an application and give them permission to speak with Allie & Pals Rescue. If current animals are not spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines, the application will be denied, unless there is a valid medical reason determined by your Veterinarian.

Personal References: A volunteer will call the personal references that you supplied in your adoption application. Please ask their permission ahead of time and inform them that Allie & Pals Rescue will be calling.

Landlord Approval: If renting, before applying for a dog, please discuss requirements and restrictions with your landlord. A volunteer will be calling your landlord to verify the information and determine if the dog you're interested in is a good fit.
